Things to Do

OCTOBERFEST:

Stowe's 11th annual Octoberfest gets underway at 10AM, Saturday, Sept. 29 with a parade through the village over to the Jackson Ice Arena which will be transformed into a Babarian Village. At 11AM Burgermeister Ken Schumann will "tap" his 11th consecutive Stowe Rotary Octoberfest Keg" and the weekend will be underway. In addition to lots of outstanding food & music there is a Silent Auction & Raffle, Children's Activities, Oompah Bands, Dancing & FUN!!!

All the money raised is for scholarships to local students for college and awards to local non-profit organizations. In 2006 that totaled about $70,000.00

Come one and all and enjoy an exciting weekend PLUS it appears foliage will be at about 70% of peak by that weekend.

Today through October 15: Toll Road and Gondola Remain Open Daily. Columbus Day weekend is the end of the season for summer attractions.
