Confirming what we've known all along, Boston Globe's Ski Guru, Ethan Binns, has just named Stowe the Best New England Ski Resort for Night Life. One fabulous place Binns didn't mention is Stowe's Blue Moon Cafe. Ask the owner, Jim Barton, to suggest a great bottle of wine to go with your meal. He's always got the inside line on something we haven't tried. The Blue Moon's menu changes weekly, so check it out online before you go. They're open seven days a week, so if you're on vacation, pick a mid-week night and book it for late so you can linger over your meal. We'd also suggest you make a reservation. If they're "fully committed" ask about eating at the bar, where their bartender, Veronica will make you feel right at home. I'm hungry just thinking about it...
Stowe Mountain Resort is reporting great conditions today for the folks lucky enough to be skiing mid-week.
